OUR FATHER'S WAR: A VIETNAM JOURNEY (Dir. Randall Wilson)
David Lopez, USMC, was an 18-year-old kid from South Central Los Angeles when he landed in Vietnam in 1967. As a Marine grunt, David was involved in some of the bloodiest and fiercest battles in Vietnam. After the war, David married his childhood sweetheart, had three sons, a successful career in law enforcement and now teaches high school in Anaheim, California.
However, PTSD and the ghosts from Vietnam have haunted the Lopez family for nearly four decades. In the summer of 2006 David Lopez, his wife Adela and son Ruben returned to Vietnam to confront David's demons.
